Athene Parker, The emPOWER Breakfast's founder, has worked in the world of music and advertising production for 25 years, as a Video Commissioner, Music Video Production Company Founder, and a Director of New Business and New Business Consultant for commercials production companies. She trained as a coach in 2018 at CTI, as it held a deep motivation for understanding the power of emotion and how to shift mindset and look at optimising performance.

 

The emPOWER Breakfast is a fast growing heart-centred business networking event, offering support to the advertising community through empathy building, creating change on a micro level in the workplace, and through shared stories from leading industry figures.

 

The initiative was born out of Athene's early experience with her preverbal autistic son. Realising there needed to be a space where our challenges are reflected back to us by people who have triumphed through adversity, this unique business networking, mental wellness support hub was born. Athene is committed to building a community who are emPOWERED to face their challenges and who lift each other up.​

 

She also runs theSENmumma, a mentoring network for parents of neurodivergent children.
