It’s Your Turn to Join the Conversation! emPOWER launches 'Be My Guest' on Instagram.

The emPOWER Breakfast might be taking a little summer break, but the conversations don’t have to.

Over the years, one of the things I have loved most about building the emPOWER community has been the conversations that happen around it.

The conversations about an idea somebody is trying to get off the ground, a cause they can’t stop thinking about, something they’ve experienced or overcome, or simply a story they feel might help somebody else.

So this summer, I wanted to create another space for those conversations to happen.

BE MY GUEST is a new series of Instagram Live conversations where I’m putting the spotlight on YOU.

I’ll be going live on Instagram and inviting guests to join me for relaxed, real conversations about the things that matter to them. You do not need to be a keynote speaker. You do not need to have written a book although if you have I want to hear about it.

You do not need to be running a huge company or arrive armed with the perfect story and a beautifully rehearsed answer. Maybe you’ve started something exciting. Maybe there’s an idea you’re trying to bring into the world. Maybe you’re passionate about a cause. Maybe you’ve been through something that has changed you. Maybe something is happening in your industry that you think we should all be talking about. Or perhaps there is simply a story sitting inside you that somebody else needs to hear.

I would love you to step up and join the conversation.

Because one of the founding ideas behind emPOWER has always been that everybody has something to bring to the table. Some of the most powerful conversations aren’t necessarily with the person who has the biggest job title or the largest following. They happen when somebody speaks openly about something they genuinely care about and another person listening thinks, I thought I was the only one.

That connection matters hugely to the wellbeing of society as a whole.

And at a time when so much of our communication happens through screens, posts, algorithms and carefully polished snippets of our lives, I think there is something particularly important about actually talking to one another.

I have no idea where every BE MY GUEST conversation will take us and that is exactly why I’m excited about it.
