The Quarry + Post Arm Join emPOWER as A Bronze Sponsor

We are thrilled to Announce a NEW SPONSOR Spotlight: The Quarry + The Post Arm Join As Bronze Sponsors - Craft, Continuity and the Power of Evolution

For over 30 years, The Quarry has been a cornerstone of the UK’s post-production landscape, an edit house synonymous with craft, consistency, and an instinctive understanding of story.

At the heart of this is Managing Partner and Editor Bruce Townend, whose steady, highly respected leadership has helped define The Quarry’s enduring reputation. His approach has always balanced editorial excellence with something less tangible but just as important: trust, relationships, and a deep understanding that great work is never created in isolation.

Alongside its editorial heritage sits its in-house finishing and VFX division, The Post Arm a fully integrated part of the business that has been evolving quietly over the past decade, enhancing The Quarry’s ability to carry creative work seamlessly from first cut through to final delivery.

By bringing offline, colour and finishing into closer alignment, The Quarry has built a more connected workflow one where collaboration replaces handovers, and where the integrity of an idea is protected at every stage of the process.

Huge thanks go to emPOWER Champions Head of Production Tor Allen who brought emPOWER to everyone’s attention and also a new member of the team Kim Bryde, who recently stepped into the business as a finishing producer within The Quarry’s post-production division. Her role strengthens production across the finishing pipeline while supporting the company’s continued growth and client offering.

With over 15 years’ experience across VFX and post-production, Kim brings not only operational expertise, but a deeply people-first approach to leadership. Her career has been shaped by guiding teams through high-pressure environments, navigating change, and creating the conditions for individuals to do their best work, avoiding overwhelm and burnout when it matters most and the schedules are HOT.

Her focus on resilience, burnout, and the impact of lived experience reflects a wider shift within the industry one that recognises that sustainable creativity depends on more than just output. It depends on people.

What makes The Quarry’s model so compelling is this balance between long-standing craft and a more contemporary understanding of how creative environments need to function.

A business built on relationships, now strengthening the systems and support around them. A legacy of excellence, evolving with intention.

The emPOWER Breakfast exists to spotlight exactly this kind of thinking where the conversation extends beyond the work itself to the people and cultures that make it possible.

With champions like Tor Allen who first brought this partnership into view, Founding Partner Bruce Townend and new recruit Kim Bryde, this is a collaboration grounded in both creative excellence and shared values. Because the future of our industry is human first!
