The emPOWER Breakfast launches its first emPOWERMENt event of 2026 with James Brook Partridge, Head of Production at WPP Production, in a deeply personal conversation exploring belonging, reinvention and the emotional reality of coming home.
Taking place on Wednesday 3rd June at Framestore and Company 3, the event continues The emPOWER Breakfast’s commitment to creating space for more emotionally honest conversations within the advertising, media and creative industries.
Following the success of last year’s inaugural men’s series, emPOWERMENt returns with a renewed focus on modern masculinity, identity, pressure, ambition and emotional wellbeing, exploring what life actually feels like beneath the surface of high-performance creative careers.
James Brook Partridge has spent more than 25 years working across advertising production in EMEA and APAC, building an internationally respected career through leadership roles at Ogilvy, Hogarth and now WPP Productions. Spending almost 15 years living and working across Hong Kong and Singapore before returning to the UK in 2018, his story offers a rare and deeply human perspective on the psychological impact of constant reinvention and adaptation.
Throughout his career, James has led production across global campaigns for brands including Ford, Dove, Coca-Cola, British Airways and IBM, producing award-winning work recognised by Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show and the Clios. But beneath the success sits a more personal story about identity, grounding and what happens when a life built around movement and ambition eventually asks you to stop and reconnect with yourself.
In his talk, The Long Way Home, James will explore the emotional realities behind relocation, masking, ambition and the unexpected challenge of returning home after years spent reshaping yourself to thrive in new environments.
The conversation will open up wider discussions around nervous system regulation, emotional safety and the impact our environments have on confidence, belonging and identity, particularly within industries that often celebrate hustle, movement and perpetual reinvention.
As with all emPOWER Breakfast events, the morning is designed not simply as networking, but as a space for meaningful connection, reflection and emotional honesty within the creative community.
